The memorable highlights of the 1961 World Series (Yankees vs Reds) are now available in full color, plus historic footage of Roger Maris hitting his famous 61st home run on the last day of the regular season. Actual game-action highlights of all the big plays of every game of the five-game series are included, all narrated by Mel Allen, long-time voice of the Yankees. You may have seen some of this series on TV highlight shows, but with poor, reddish-brown color. Now with the help of the most modern electronic equipment, you can see it again in beautiful natural COLOR! Every scene in the film (numbering in the hundreds) has been individually color corrected electronically to bring back the color and picture quality of the original Eastmancolor print. You’ll see great shots of old Yankee Stadium and Crosley Field decked out in colorful World Series bunting and slow-motion action shots plus close-ups of the players.
